Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal SyncManufacturing Systems Administrator to join our Manufacturing team located in Sterling, VA or Gilbert, AZ. This position will be fully engaged with work centers, planning team, and other functions to operate and enhance an integrated finite capacity planning system within the division.

Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
  • Perform as primary SyncManufacturing Systems Administrator for Manufacturing
  • Support requirements capture, design and technical implementation of Corporate Digital Transformation initiatives related to SyncManufacturing.
  • Develop system Long Range Strategic Plan and timeline
  • Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization with internal and external customers, in written and verbal format.
  • Performing root cause analysis, debugging problems within system environment, and working with the appropriate technical teams to develop, test, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitoring, addressing, and resolving production system environment incidents, service requests, workflows, etc., collaboratively with other support teams.
  • Documenting all aspects of system support so that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked with supporting system instances.
  • Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor services, and suggestions.
  • Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
  • Create and maintain user/user group accounts and modify file permissions as needed
  • Develop and maintain technical processes and procedures as needed.
  • Provide guidance and training on applications of SyncManufacturing to Planning and other functions for advance planning by roles and responsibility or desired outcome.
  • Collaborate with CostPoint, MRP, and MES team to establish advanced planning and system inputs into business processes and functions.
  • Develop and update training on usage of the Sync Manufacturing system and recommend updated procedures as necessary.

Basic Requirements:
  • Associate's degree and 12 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience, or Master's degree and 8 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 13 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
  • Proficient in using SyncManufacturing, CostPoint and MRP systems in manufacturing environments to achieve product delivery.
  • Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.
  • Intermediate MS Excel and data analysis skills
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience using and/or maintain Atlassian applications: Jira and Confluence
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to proactively identify issues, find root cause, and identify both temporary and permanent solutions.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Cognos including Studio Query, or experience with similar systems such as MS Access in developing basic queries.
  • Familiarity with digital metric dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Power BI and SyncView
  • Advanced MS Excel and data analysis skills
  • Experience leading Agile, Value Stream Mapping, or continuous improvement projects and teams

Salary Range: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD

Salary Range 2: $98,700 USD - $148,100 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
