We are recruiting for a

Web Designer for our client in Springfield, VA (22152) for a contract to hire role. Compensation depends on experience.

The ideal candidate would have strong UI experience and has worked with all or most of the technologies in the company's stack - Figma, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.The successful candidate will be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts. They will be able to transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs. You will be working closely with our web development team to ensure proper implementation. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web design. They should also have superior user interface design skills.

Web Developer Responsibilities:
  • Designing responsive web page layouts
  • Conceptualizing creative ideas with various stakeholders
  • Presenting and communicating designs and key deliverables to team members and executive level stakeholders
  • QA, testing and continuously improving the design and functionality of the website
  • Establishing and/or maintaining design guidelines, standards, and best practices
  • Working with different content management systems
  • Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes
  • Incorporating functionalities and features into websites
  • Keeping current with advances in web technology and understand its effects of our business environment

Web Developer Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as a Web Designer
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Proficiency in user interface design software such as Figma
  • Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Good understanding of content management systems
  • Good understanding of search engine optimization principles
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, a Visual Arts subject, or like degree
