Job Description


  • This role offers opportunity and access to a hands-on, cross functional experience as part of a dynamic compliance team, with a particular focus on marketing material review, marketing requirement expertise, and relationship management with marketing, product, and other business and compliance teams.


  • Support members of the Compliance Team with various tasks, projects, and responsibilities as part of the Compliance Team’s marketing review program, including but not limited to the below:
  • Develop and maintain a subject matter expert understanding of U.S. and Canadian marketing requirements in order to guide the business in their planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain relationships with Marketing Team members, particularly project managers/coordinators, to ensure open lines of communication and collaboration with Marketing Team, product owners, and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Perform multi-level review of marketing materials (first/second level review and/or final review), striving for consistency of the reviews on an ongoing basis and cooperative partnership with the Marketing team.
  • Manage any related technology to assist the organization in achieving an efficient marketing material review process and manage any related subject matter expert review process to ensure materials are reviewed by all applicable individuals/teams (i.e. legal). Act as liaison with technology partners to ensure smooth use by business teams.
  • Assist in maintaining internal compliance materials such as SOPs, reference material, reports, etc., as they relate to the review of Marketing Materials.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders within the organization including legal, operations, marketing, and others to ensure compliance with various requirements.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.



  • High School diploma/GED, post-secondary education considered an asset.


  • 1-5 years’ experience in a compliance role including familiarity with a requirements-based approach to compliance.
  • Previous experience with marketing material review, consumer lending compliance, and/or CFPB requirements is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Previous experience researching and communicating requirements is considered an asset but is not required.


  • Excellent documentation skills to include writing, editing, and formatting using styles and other features of documentation software.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to address opportunities with a solutions-oriented approach and suggesting process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Good presentation and public speaking abilities.
  • Proficiency with electronic document management software and systems.
  • Experienced in using Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Must demonstrate the willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
  • Must possess ability to function in a demanding, fast-paced and multi-dimensional role.
  • High level of initiative, the ability to act independently using sound judgment, adaptability to a dynamic environment.
