Ember Front-end Developer for our client in

Richmond, VA.

SUMMARY:As a Front-end Developer you will assist in providing analysis for strategic, complex digital initiatives. As a Front-End Developer, you will bring your technical expertise, passion and curiosity to a creative and energetic team that thrives on innovation. In the Front-End Developer role, you can expect to work closely with a cross-functional team to brainstorm and bring ideas to life. In an increasingly competitive digital business environment, our Front-End Developers are given the space they need to invent, problem solve, explore, fix and create. If you have a passion for digital development and innovation, then this is the role for you.You will be joining a Veracity team who is working on a project where we are conducting a user experience redesign of our client's website. In conjunction with the redesign, we are modernizing the technology platform and implementing priority enhancements for this educationally focused website. To be successful on the project we are looking for folks with extensive Ember experience who can hit the ground running!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ability to engineer for performance, maintainability and efficiency, while also creating beautiful end-user experiences.
Broad experience working on leading-edge projects across verticals for large, complex organizations.
A knack for teamwork and working with people across capabilities.
A solid understanding of the tools, processes and approaches for world-class front-end development, and also the skills and appreciation for UX/UI and creative design principles.
The written and verbal communication skills required to articulate effectively to business, creative and technology stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Effective team collaboration, working with a dedicated team of Front-End Developers to take ownership and pride in producing detail-oriented, pixel-perfect work.
The ability to proactively manage timelines and commitments across all projects.
Collaboration in the sales process to estimate internal tradeoff/options and inspiring new innovative ideas/prototypes.
Thought leadership and critical thinking, staying up-to-date on the latest technology trends and buzz words.
The ability to produce rapid and elegant componentized code and digital experiences.
Expert in Ember development (must have hands-on professional experience) and creating new UIs.
5+ years of experience and an expert in HTML5, CSS3 (Sass), and jQuery skills
Proficiency with a version control system (Git is preferred)
Proficiency and awareness of successful approaches in responsive or adaptive web design
Broad knowledge of capabilities across different browsers and devices
Proficiency in JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Vue, React, Angular, Node, and Knockout
Familiarity with Handlebars js or similar templating engine
Familiarity with automated build and testing tools such as Gulp, Browserify, Browsersync, etc
Know how to get what you need from Photoshop designs and Invision prototypes to create pixel perfect products
Comfortable getting around and operating via the command line
