- Serve as a data governance analyst and subject matter expert in support of data analytics and intelligence projects for GCOM’s current and potential clients.
- Serve as support to GCOM’s Data Governance Lead in the oversight, management, and development of data strategies, governance structures, policy and procedure frameworks, data quality processes, and legal agreements necessary to support data sharing at an enterprise level for public sector clients.
- Support public sector projects in planning, designing, and establishing data governance and management policies, procedures, processes, and systems.
- Collaborate with data privacy, security, analytics, and intelligence subject matter experts to develop data strategies for public sector clients that facilitate data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics and intelligence engagements
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related technical discipline is required. A Master's Degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience applying and demonstrating the principles, procedures, and tools of data management, such as: data governance, data standardization processes, data modeling techniques, data dictionaries, data inventorying and cataloging, metadata standards, data warehousing, data analytics, data mining, data integration, and business intelligence.
- Experience advising on data-driven and evidence-based decision making, the development of analytics products and customer facing services, and applications of advanced analytics and emerging technologies.
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse users and stakeholders from technology experts to business owners to agency/government executives.
- Exceptional writing skills for data governance and analytical strategies, decision papers, policies, processes, and procedures documents.
