Description SAIC is seeking a highly capable web developer with attention to detail, a mission-focused mindset and the ability to interface with and support large organizations and work tactfully with senior customer managers. The successful candidate will bring experience with Joomla web development to conceptualize and implement website design, review and edit content, and ensure the overall professionalism of the product. The candidate will work with a team of two other individuals specializing in graphic design and development to ensure the highest overall quality or product that represents the customer. Responsibilities and Tasks include:

Design, develop, test and deploy new Joomla websites that comply with Section 508 and other accessibility requirements
Manage the development and maintenance of existing Joomla websites
Document and maintain website design and code in appropriate repositories
Publish content to Joomla websites
Document website requirements
Maintain a website requirements backlog
Translate graphic designs into website implementation
Participate in technical exchange meetings regarding designs
Work effectively and collaboratively within the customer's web design framework and with other web design teams
Recommend methods for enhancing the customer's web presence

Qualifications

Required:
- Must currently hold a TS/SCI & Poly
- 15+ years of relevant technical experience
- Experience developing Joomla websites
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
- Experience using task tracking and version control tools such as GitHub and JIRA
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and various markdown languages
- Working knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements
- Experience interfacing with executive-level customers
- Ability to track content requirements, obtain content from conten providers and meet publishing deadlines
- Ability to translate customer requirements into effective website designs
- Ability to collaborate effectively, both with collocated and dispersed team members
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast paced environment
Desired:
- Experience designing and supporting Joomla Extensions or Modules
- Experience with SharePoint or Wordpress
- Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud infrastructure
