Job SummaryIf you are looking for a rewarding position that will allow you to use your ship repair planning skills, Amentum may have the full-time position you are looking for. We have an immediate opening providing our customer Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Advance Planning. The position is located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. Essential Responsibilities include:Work with alteration sponsors to verify alteration maturity compliance, identify industrial Support Services Requests (SSRs) required by the AIT during installation of equipment/systems, and obtain AIT Plan Of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)/production schedules used in preparing the CNO availability Master Integrated Schedule (MIS)

Utilize the Naval Sea System Command (SEA-21) and COMNAVSURFLANT (TYCOM) Letter of Authorization (LOA) to identify all AIT alterations planned for accomplishment during the upcoming CNO availability

Utilize the Navy Data Environment (NDE) website, SEA-21 LOA, SEA-21 Availability Planning sheets, and COMNAVSURFLANT (TYCOM) LOA to communicate with AIT sponsors and create an AIT CNO availability in the Availability Planning, Risk Assessment and Execution Database as a baseline for formal tracking of ship installation drawings, support services and schedule commitments

Collect all AIT SSRs and POA&Ms as specified in the SEA-21 and TYCOM LOA; Upon receipt of a SSR, review and verify the request form is properly completed; If information within the support service request requires clarification or additional information, communicate with the AIT Manager to effect corrections; For all validated SSRs, create a Work Notification (WN) in the Validating, Screening and Brokering (VSB) module of the Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) website; As specified, collect and review all notional AIT POA&Ms from applicable sponsors and ensure they reflect all requirements specified in TS 9090-310 (latest rev) before providing to the MTs and Third Party Planners (3PP) for integration into the MIS. Provide feedback to the NSA of POA&M compliance

Attend MARMC sponsored CNO advance planning meetings and SEA-21 dial-in CNO planning teleconferences for ships assigned

Review all AIT Work Specifications to ensure all industrial support services, required by the AIT sponsor, and are correctly identified within the individual specification

Verify an installation WN exists for each AIT install; For alterations without an assigned execution WN, communicate with alteration sponsors and/or SURFMEPP for action to develop

Attend the availability Work Package Integration Conference (WPIC) for review of all scheduled alterations and assist resolving any CNO availability integration issues

Attend the Work Package Execution Review (WPER); Participants meet to resolve any remaining issues within the integrated CNO availability schedule

Conduct turnover with the Alteration Coordination Engineer (ACE) providing an electronic or hard-copy AIT Logbook, as requested; The Logbook shall contain an updated Availability SCD Report which list alterations scheduled for the availability, alteration description report from NDE NM, Plan of Action and Milestones for each AIT scheduled installation, and work specifications for all alterations requiring AIT support services

Minimum RequirementsMinimum of 10 years experience supporting Alteration efforts on-board Naval vessels

Must have specific work experience with Navy Modernization policies and procedures delineated in TS 9090-310 (latest rev) with regards to Lead Maintenance Activity’s (LMA) alteration pre-execution integration

Knowledge and understanding of RMMCO Form processing (Check-In/Check-Out), NSA-AIT MOA, and Alteration Coordination Engineers (ACEs) functionality within a CNO-Availability

Specific experience using Navy Data Environment (NDE) to navigate modernization applications/programs, i.e., NM, EP, ILS Module, and AMPs for alteration information validation

Experience in VSB to generate Work Notifications (WNs)

Experience with Maintenance Team (MT) Integrated Project Team Development (IPTD) conferences requirements and AIT-Planning integration within process development

Have knowledge of Program Office and FLEET alterations, applicable Letters of Authorization, JFMM, Milestones for Fixed Firm Price Availabilities, and the structure and role of government oversight and planning of contracted ship availabilities for U.S. Navy surface ship modernization

Ability to obtain a secret clearance

U.S. citizenship
