Elite Contracting Group is looking for a Network/Infrasture engineer to join our expanding team. The position is based out of our Headquarters in Petersburg, VA. The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude and is eager to learn new systems for the fastest growing full-service security solutions integration company.The Network/Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of Elite's internal network and supporting our customer's needs. The Network/Infrastructure Engineer monitors and controls the performance and status of network resources by using software and hardware tools and identifying and diagnosing complex problems and factors affecting network performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and analyze elements of network facilities, including power, software, security features, communications devices/lines, modems, and terminals
• Serve as Operational Subject Matter Expert for future enhancement of network transport system
• Configure routers, switches, and access points for LAN, WLAN, and WAN
• Identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance
• Provide out of office/on-call support as well
• Local travel required occasionally

Requirements

• CCNA/CCNP and other Professional certifications are a plus but not required
• Previously a member of a network support team
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens including criminal history and drug/alcohol screens and have a valid Drivers License
• This is an onsite position, and telecommuting is not an option
• There are no relocation assistants available for this position
