Job Summary: The Unit Support Specialist/Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the Emergency Department assists the nurse in providing activities of daily living, personal needs, and comfort of patients as well as performs a wide variety of secretarial functions. The CNA works under the direction of the licensed nurse and adheres to department and hospital policies/procedures and regulatory requirements. Job Requirements:GED or High School Diploma preferred.Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification from the State of Nebraska required.Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within one full month from date of hire required.Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) obtained within six full months from date of hire required.Previous clinical experience preferred.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required.Must be 18 years of age due to operation of a mechanical lift equipment required.EEO Vet/Disabled
