Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY:The Regional Sales Engineer, Security Solutions (RSE) is a Field-based resource who supports the sale, design, installation, and service of large complex jobs as well as smaller cloud-based solution implementations in the Virginia and Maryland markets. He/she will work alone as well as with HQ based resources, to ensure a clear understanding of both system design and scope of work from a technical perspective. The RSE is responsible for early awareness of large jobs & engagement with Account Management (AM) Teams and The Customer Care Manager. This position is ultimately responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences and solid financial performance on all the billable work in their region.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with key accountsandsupport the repair ofstruggling relationships
  • Work with the Customer Solutions Manager to allocate proper resources to meet customer needs
  • Provide Project Management for assigned projects in your area
  • Assist to bridgethe gap between technical knowledge, project managementand fulfillment teams
  • Supportsthe effort to bring customer systems up to industry standards,ensuringcompliance with regulations(including but not limited to OSDP, Encryption,FICAM/FIPS 201-2) while increasing revenueand profitability
  • Pre-Sales assistance for the Account Management Team including meetings, demonstrations as well as customer site surveys.
  • Assists with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of equipment and software
  • Research, development and training of M3T Approved Technology platforms and systems.
  • Ensure all work performed meets customer needs and company standards for accuracyand quality workmanship
  • Advises onand / or performs upgradestoon-premisesystems,ensuringlongevity anduptime
  • Helps to evaluatetheviability & salability of new technology
  • Assist with work orders and projects as needed to meet business and technical needs
  • Assist with providing top-notch supportwhen complex issues arise
  • Review project designsfor functionality, accuracy & cost efficiency ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Identify missed opportunities for improved efficiency and communicate to the responsible party
  • Assist with prioritization ofteam workloadin your area

GENERALACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Represents the company in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively.
  • Performs Account Manager (AM) responsibilities when the Area AM is not available.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

TRAINING/EDUCATION EXPECTATIONS:

  • 4or more yearsofexperience ininformationtechnology /security industry((will consider candidateswith 2 or more years of purely security industry experience)).
  • Completion ofmanufacturertraining and other line of business applicationsas required
  • Possess fluent knowledge of backend infrastructure technology platforms to include application and network knowledge.
  • Must possess demonstrated knowledge/experiencein the following areas:
    • Access Control /Video Surveillance / Intercom /Security Architecture and Design/ System Integration /Physical Security
  • Must be able toeffectivelyprioritize in a fast-paced working environment
  • Stronginnovative,motivational, andproactivepersonality
  • Knowledge/Capability to manage customer needs
  • Stronganalytical andproblem-solvingskills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
