Together, we are on a quest to change banking for good.Discovery Tech Legal Manager - eDiscoveryAs the discovery review manager at Capital One, you will grow, manage, and help lead the Litigation department’s in-house document review program. You are pragmatic and practical in your understanding of discovery costs and risks, and know when to deploy advanced analytics, Technology Assisted Review (TAR), and machine learning. You are collaborative, inquisitive, and enthusiastic about technology - especially machine learning. You innovate with other stakeholders within Legal to manage legal risks and costs in an evolving legal landscape.In this role, you will see litigation discovery as an opportunity to apply world-class technology and process techniques to control risks and costs while meeting the client’s needs and obligations in litigation. You will also work with Capital One’s in-house discovery team, litigation teams, and outside counsel to develop objectives, manage costs and risk, and implement document review strategies.Responsibilities For This Role Will Include:

Growing and managing the in-house review team

Counseling and educating in-house colleagues and outside counsel on discovery-related issues

Supporting in-house colleagues with pre-review discovery stages, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, culling, and analyzing data

Coordinating with in-house data collection and processing team

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

At least 2 years of experience managing document review projects for litigation discovery

At least 3 years of experience with Relativity eDiscovery software, including running productions

Preferred Qualifications:

Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in at least one state bar

At least 5 years of legal experience managing document review projects for litigation discovery

Experienced user of TAR systems, including Relativity Assisted Review, Relativity Active Learning, or other similar systems.

Experienced user of Brainspace or other similar advanced ECA, investigation, and analysis systems

Familiarity with developments in discovery law and technology

Ability to identify risk and offer solutions to novel legal issues

Effective oral and written communication skills in communicating legal and reputational risk issues to developers, engineers, analysts, and business and legal leaders

Strong analytical and computer skills

Effective oral and written communication skills in communicating status, timelines, risks, and potential red flags to stakeholders

Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment to meet deadlines
