Find your future with us.The Boeing Maritime Undersea organization seeks an AV Engineer to join the Mission Systems Operations team located in Herndon, VA .As a member of this team, you develop Audio-Visual hardware and software solutions for proprietary programs for our client. You troubleshoot customer issues, connect with our senior engineers and helpdesk as necessary, provide users with training, and attend interagency working group meetings.We translate customer needs into detailed requirements for system integrated designs including system architectures for current operations and program growth, facility design, hardware selection, software selection and development, system integration, testing, operations and maintenance (O&M).Position Responsibilities:

Perform system integration, hardware and software installation , configuration , and upgrades of servers to support audio-visual architecture .

Perform product and component management to ensure technical viability and cost-effectiveness.

Evaluate product usability, affordability, functionality, security, and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments.

Plan and coordinate complex audio-visual software and hardware for enterprise release.

Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives.

Evaluate complex system's production readiness and supportability.

Perform complex system problem identification and resolution.

Use CAD and Visio to develop system design artifacts, signal flow diagrams, equipment elevations, BOM’s, and configuration guides.

Upload and troubleshoot control system files ( Creston , Extron , AMX , Thinklogical ).

Upload, modify, and troubleshoot audio Digital Signal Processor files ( Biamp , QSC , etc).

Install, configure, and troubleshoot large scale Audio Video and USB systems ( Creston , Extron , Thinklogical ).

Perform Windows and Linux administration.

In order to meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in Herndon, VA.This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) and possession of, or ability to obtain, a Sensitive Compartmented Information ( TS/SCI ) U.S. Security Clearance identifier.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years setting up and supporting large-scale Audio/Visual systems.

3+ years of Windows or Linux system administration experience.

3+ years communicating with customer representatives, in both written and spoken form, regarding technical subjects.

Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills/Experience) :

CTS or CTS-I certification.

Typical Education & Experience :Mid-Level (Level 3):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).Lead (Level 4):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).Senior (Level 5):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation :This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.Work Shift:This is a 1st shift position in direct support of the customer’s operations tempo, and may require occasional ad hoc support after hours should an emergency arise.
