We are looking for an engineer to develop automated tests for our hardware/software products. We value creativity, problem solving, logical thinking, teamwork, and enthusiasm for new technologies. The ideal candidate will have a background in Python programming, Linux OS, good communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly. You will work independently as well as collaboratively with other developers, managers and product owners.
iDirect Government is a leading ground systems provider to the military satellite industry. They offer platforms connecting a variety of satellite constellations with an array of remote terminals. Terminals are installed on aircraft, maritime vessels, and other ground-based military and government assets. These terminals provide internet and voice capabilities to remote and austere locations.Responsibilities:- Develop automated regression tests for features, systems and performance.
- Develop tests in Python using a custom framework built on Pytest and Jenkins.
- Perform manual testing and troubleshooting as needed.
- Work within an Agile development environment, participating in PI planning, daily scrum, and other meetings as needed.
Design and document test plans.
Integrate automated tests with software/firmware build pipelines.
- Familiar with source control (Git)
- Familiar with test frameworks (Pytest, Python unittest, etc.)
- Knowledge of networking (packets, routing, protocols, etc.)
Experience with Python programming
Experience with Linux OS
Familiar with other scripting/programming languages (Bash, C/C, etc.)
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
