Remote 2-4 Days Weekly Senior Security Engineer (Hampton, VA)

Apex Systems has an immediate need for a Senior Security Engineer to work both On-Site and Remotely (2-4 Days each week) in Hampton, VA This will be a "9 Month Contract" supporting one of our Major Government Clients! You must relocate or live within 50 Miles of Hampton, VA for this position. Please see below for details.

Job Description/Notes : This position requires a skilled system administrator with a background in Security tools and automation who will provide security tools implementation and administration for an AWS GovCloud environment and a hybrid on premise Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment.
  • Utilize and administer security tools
    • (Examples- ACAS/NessTenable, HBSS, SCCM, CrowdStrike, Duo, NetSkope, LogRhythm, Tanium, etc.)
  • Implement automated tools and scripts
    • (Examples- Python, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Powershell, SQL, etc.)
  • Support the Cybersecurity team with securing the AWS/IaaS environment
  • Assist with securing hardware, software and enterprise services including vSphere 6.5, Windows Server 2016, Windows 10
  • Evaluate scan results from ACAS scans that pertain to servers and workstations
