Director for System Research is to facilitate research across the company and business partners. This leader designs, implements, and standardizes innovative research approaches to ensure evidence-based practice and clinical quality/safety across diverse populations. Works with other Enterprise Analytics and IT resources to build the key data assets needed to efficiently support research initiatives and grants.Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage multiple complex research and graduate student projects simultaneously with overlapping critical time-frames, allocating resources, and delegating work appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer and key stakeholders at the Health Research Center, IT, Medical School, and 3rd party vendors to facilitate data acquisition and curation.
  • Manage the IRB process to ensure compliance with human subjects requirements.
  • Ensure research protocols are consistent with the companies policies, and state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a portfolio of research and conduct own research, publishing findings in the empirical literature.
  • Facilitate research funding through grant programs and external funding, including federal and private grants.
  • Design and manage research workshops and other professional activities to enable an informed workforce and disseminate research findings.
This role will also have secondary responsibilities in supporting a broader array of related Enterprise Analytics initiatives and analytic delivery efforts. These responsibilities will vary but will be largely complementary to the core research responsibilities.Excellent consultative skills are critical to this position and will be weighted heavily in candidate selection. Candidates must also have excellent problem-solving skills and possess enough technical knowledge to make an immediate impact. Aptitude to develop deep skills in data visualization and data manipulation will also be key factors in candidate selection.

Qualifications:PhD in Health Services Research, epidemiology, or social sciences required. Clinical license required (RN, MD, or Pharmacist).10 years Heath Services Research Management and Healthcare leadership required. 3 years Journal Peer Reviewer or Editor and Adjunct Teaching Position, Major University, preferred.Human Subjects Protection Certification.Minimum of 5 years of experience relevant clinical, evidence-based, project management experience. Must have current experience in Magnet designation and re-designation process related to research. Must have proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals
