OverviewPRIMARY FUNCTION:Provide Software support to the Air Operations Center Weapons Systems (AOC WS) Program Office, which is within the Digital Directorate (AFLCMC/HB) at Langley AFB, VA.RESPONSIBILITIES:As a member of the AOC WS Logistic team, the employee will support, coordinate software requirements and licenses to end user community. The whole process of Software inventory, Licensing will come under their purview for multiple AOC WS locations (23 locations worldwide) in accordance with the AOC WS maintenance requirements.

The Software License Manager will participate in the Product Life Cycle Management process and suggest valuable proposals for the advancement of the AOC WS. Responsibilities include:

1) Analyzing contractual commitments to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and vendors, customer specifications, design changes and other data relevant to the software/product under procurement process ,

2) Maintain accurate records of all sites software which include versions, patches, End Of Life, End Of Sale, and End Of Support,

3) Have a working knowledge of software licensing models, and ability to translate required software to fit the hardware infrastructure,

4) Have a working knowledge of change management systems and configuration management principles and practices,

5) Ability to coordinate well with multiple government teams, OEMs, and vendors to provide and sustain products to the users,

6) Acquire and distribute license keys to remote sites to meet operational needs,

7) Maintain accounting of licenses procured and distributed and provide assistance to end user community to maintain license keys and update as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline. Will demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise. (Program Office, Enterprise and Staff Level Support interface)

Functionally Aligned Minimum Recommended Education and Experience:

Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD

OR, BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD

OR, 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, 8 of which must be in the DoD.

Non-Functionally Aligned Minimum Recommended Education and Experience: GED, 10 years of experience in the respective profession being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD.

Candidate must obtain, and maintain, a Top Secret clearance for this position
