Shipping Clerk 1

The Shipping Clerk 1 will understand and facilitate the flow of documentation for the shipping department. The Shipping Clerk 1 will work effectively and efficiently in a warehouse environment to schedule shipping and freight operations, including developing a working knowledge of the warehouse organization and creating proper and detailed shipping documentation. Review shipping schedule daily to determine status of past, present, and future shipments. Print pick tickets daily and assign to material handlers. The ticket assignments must be documented. Must communicate daily with material handlers to determine status of orders being picked. Must communicate backordered items to the operations team as well as the project management team. Set up prepaid as well as third party shipments with various types of carriers – truckload, less-than-truckload (LTL), and parcel (UPS, FedEx). This includes domestic and international shipments. Prepare shipping documents to include packing slips, bills of lading, commercial invoices, routing requests, freight quotes, product labels, shipping address labels and freight claims. Check email frequently and respond to email in a timely manner. Set up and coordinate all roll-out shipments with project management and carriers. Enter freight POs in Epicor for all prepaid LTL or truckload shipments. Manage backorders and set up delivery schedule once backorder is complete. Schedule and ensure accurate and timely pickups for all outbound freight with trucking companies. Enter inventory adjustments as needed in Epicor to ensure inventory accuracy. File shipping paperwork as needed. May assist in picking and pulling of daily orders with or without the use of a forklift. Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
