Job Description

The Systems Administrator (

• Perform system and server backups and restoration of systems/servers as required
• Perform server administration to including file, web, SQL, or printer servers
• Perform administrative duties including installation, configuration, setup, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and decommissioning of servers and associated equipment and hardware
• Provide support to install, configure and troubleshoot the clinical systems electronic health record
• Route all work requests to the responsible support group, who will then create and process the necessary work orders
• Install and maintain the current software product baseline
• Perform configuration management, in accordance with local government policies and procedures
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of all systems within the scope of specific duties assigned
• Perform daily inspections and vendor recommended tests on all computer systems and network components
• Assist in on-hand product analysis; network/system expansion analysis; system documentation analysis; user instruction or training; and system and network operations
• Provide the necessary expertise to ensure all system nodes and supporting network are maintained in an operational state
• Perform administration and customer support of all systems, site host servers, Microsoft SharePoint servers and sites
• Perform Active Directory administration to include account creation/deletion, rights assignment, and the troubleshooting of accounts
• Perform storage administration to include that of Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices. Tasks include configuration, troubleshooting and corrective maintenance as well as maintaining high availability, while preserving the Active Directory security access control
• Perform security services for all LAN/WLAN, communications equipment, servers, PCs, and peripherals
• Conduct initial and continual assessments (including vulnerabilities), using approved tools, tactics, and techniques to facilitate the risk management process
• Provide Video Teleconference conference (VTC) support
• Provide support to Multi-Function Devices (MFD) which entails troubleshooting copy and network issues

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study, OR six (6) or more years related experience
• Computing Environment (CE) certification for the Windows environment operating systems

• Security+ or higher DoDD 8570.01 security-related certification
• Minimum of two (2) years of client support in a Microsoft Windows based environment
• Must have six (6) or more years in designing and deploying systems in a Microsoft Windows environment
