Bering Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified IT Support Technician for the Dayton OH area. The IT Support Technician will be responsible for procuring, inventorying, and managing IT assets and software licenses in support of a software development program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets, systems, and peripherals
  • Configure and deploy computer systems
  • Diagnose hardware and software operating system faults
  • Solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person
  • Assist with support tasks related to operating systems, software applications, wireless networks, networking, and printers
  • Provide technical training and guidance to both onsite and remote employees
  • Develop reports showing license entitlements, installations, usage, renewal, procurement status, and data gaps
  • Research and develop standardized Software Asset Management (SAM) processes
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) including system architects, system administrators, and engineers to obtain critical information required for the management of software
  • Drive decisions regarding software licensing models and terms that have a direct impact on IT Infrastructure

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s)
  • Associates Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience working in an IT related field
  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiry, requires U.S. citizenship.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
  • Superior knowledge of commonly used IT concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
