Job duties:Maintains existing sales reports and designs new reports as needed. Administers the department's cost control policies for B&P spending for opportunity engagements.Conducts research by working with the sales leads and utilizing sources such as GovWin; FBO and others to identify new business development opportunities.Evaluates third-party solutions for appropriate sales operations functions as needed.Assists in managing compliance program and sales operations help desk.Schedules and coordinates meetings for the department (as needed).Helps to develop sales operations policies and procedures.Works with sales and capture personnel to identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, accounting, computer science or related fieldThree to five years' experience in management consulting or government contracting experience, preferably in sales or operationsExperience with relational database management tools, such as Salesforce and GovWin Capture Management is a plus

Preferred Education and Experience:Master's degree in business administration (MBA).Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including strong experience with Microsoft Excel).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and joint ventures.
  • Oversee market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
  • Provide leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives.
  • Define vision, strategies, and tactics.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers.
  • Work with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
  • Conduct business planning activities, to include operating plan development, bid agenda development, opportunity gate reviews, win theme and proposal reviews.
  • Brief capture status to senior management at specified milestones in the capture process.
  • Conduct after action reviews to document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions.
  • Brief segment and corporate leadership in the bid review process, execute action item outputs and maintain accountability for bid delivery.
  • Lead proposal response activities, directing the work of writing team, print and production team, and desktop publishing team. Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • May have additional training or education in area of specialization.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope & complexity.
  • General application of concepts & principles.
  • Contributes to the completion of organizational projects & goals.
  • Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Communicates on complex or sensitive issues or drafts such responses for supervisor or manager.
