AWS Cloud Architect/Lead

CGI Federal is seeking an AWS Cloud Architect with proven experience to join its Healthcare Practice. The candidate should demonstrate expertise and experience on Cloud Infrastructure assessment, benchmarking, planning, sourcing and implementing a wide range of cloud, mobile, communications and collaboration services. Eligible candidate should have relevant and demonstrated experience in infrastructure design and development. Solid Experience to maintain and enhance the current AWS Enterprise Architecture and design framework to align with business-centric, Domain Driven Design approach, loosely-coupled components of the system while framing all parts of one system.

Your future duties and responsibilities• Experience in managing all aspects of strategic planning, creating value through use of technology, developing innovative solutions, managing complex technology and infrastructure operations, contract/vendor negotiations and information technology operations management.• Collaborate and partner with data architects, system architects, infrastructure architects, CMS senior stakeholders, and each line of business to document business and technology roadmaps including the transition states from the current to target architectures that support CMS strategic business plan.• Expertise and experience in Active Directory, Server Virtualization and setting up auto scaling features for Cloud Platforms• Strong business acumen along with technical depth to assist with architecture, implementation, and AWS Infrastructure design for enterprise size companies• Proven experience designing and implementing the tools and technologies to implement IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and PaaS (Platform as a Service)• Proven Leadership and Excellent communication w/ presentation skills to high level stakeholders• Identify any gaps for the Enterprise Architecture to promote automation, allow management via Infrastructure as code (IaC), use full DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, and use SAFe® for continuous improvement.• Review and gain control of AWS infrastructure to assess the challenges, gaps, intricacies for the current AWS Infrastructure to allow for integration with stakeholder systems and support futuristic needs.• Review, identify gaps, and propose recommendation and implementation roadmap for the current Operating Environment as part of the CMS Amazon Web Services (AWS) enclave.• Demonstrated experience in implementing the operating platform as Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) and configure it purely through automation using Red Hat OpenShift, which provides the orchestration and management of scalable, High Availability (HA) applications running on AWS instances.• Support innovation and technology improvements with the combination of AWS Services, Containerized Services and tools, and native hosted tools to provide both application functionality as well as operational management, monitoring, and scaling capabilities.• Real-time experience to demonstrate capabilities to fully design, develop and support Container Platforms like AWS EKS, Docker Swarm, Red Hat Open shift platforms.• Experience in implementing Proof of concepts to conduct research and gap analysis to demonstrate the capabilities (absorb libraries, patches, or alterations), maintain, and support the container and server less deployments• Initiate process improvements, technology improvements, AWS Infrastructure improvements and create a detailed Technology Innovation Strategy document with identified solutions to continuously improve the development processes.• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible) and fluency in the associated programming languages (e.g. Ruby, Python, Groovy, Python)• Proven leadership and experience in selecting appropriate Cloud services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements• Experience in working in a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust Cloud centric solutions• Collaborate with the Risk Management team to ensure necessary controls to Cloud services are deployed and tested• Working closely with customers to develop and deploy robust and re-useable configuration management components• Proven experience with network architectures (AWS and on premise), sensor technologies, and cyber threats with the ability to protect, detect, and respond to security vulnerabilities directed against platform and systems.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Engineering, IT etc.) with 15+ years of experience as a Systems Architect supporting Middleware and Enterprise Applications or similar role for large scale enterprise solutions.• AWS certified Architect• Must have professional experience managing complex systems and workflow and complex projects with tight deadlines.• Must have acquired prior experience with government ATO processes, procedures, and administrative support requirements for AWS Cloud and GovCloud.• Full understanding of, plus 5+ years of compliance experience with, FedRamp and FISMA requirements and procedures for cloud computing.• 7+ years of experience with building AWS infrastructure or migrating private on premise solutions to cloud hosting environments.• 7+ years of experience in auto-provisioning of cloud AMI's using Cloud Formation Templates and Lambda scripts.• 7+ years of experience with configuration management, cloud orchestration and automation tools.• Solid understanding of and experience with provisioning and managing infrastructure as well as applications in cloud environments, preferably in AWS.• 5+ year of experience with Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices in a Micro services environment.• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible) and fluency in the associated programming languages (e.g. Ruby, Python, Groovy)• 7+ years of experience in auto-provisioning of cloud AMI's using Cloud Formation Templates and Lambda scripts.• 7+ years of experience with configuration management, cloud orchestration and automation tools.• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible) and fluency in the associated programming languages (e.g. Ruby, Python, Groovy, Python)• Experience with AWS Services; EC2, Cloud Formation, VPC, ELB, AWS Security, S3, RDS, EBS, ECS - or equivalent within Azure / GCP.• Knowledge of and experience with monitoring, metrics collection, and reporting using open source tools.• Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.• Ability to perform cloud performance analysis and optimize distributed cloud systems.• Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence others.
