Business Analyst - Project Control Specialist

Position Description Working as a Business Analyst - Project Control Specialist you will work closely with the project manager and support staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. You will have the business knowledge and perspective of a particular business and the IT needs of that business unit. You will have responsibility over budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for the project. Experience required working in fast pace federal project environment with a firm understanding of managing scope, time, costs and quality

Your future duties and responsibilities Your future duties and responsibilities:• Determine operational needs by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.• Defining project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.• Schedule and facilitate meetings with stakeholders to identify, document and mitigate risks• Working with the team to develop and maintain the WBS• Understand contractual funding and program dependencies• Provide budget, cost, scheduled and EAC analysis. Report on scheduled and cost variances.• Collaborate with stakeholders to define objectives, create and manage project plans.• Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, information technology or related field with a minimum of 3 years related experience• Earned Value Management experience• Strong working knowledge of Excel• Experience with U.S. Federal Government cost accounting• Experience supporting multiple contract types.
