Independent Contractor Driver - Box Truck

Orbit Healthcare is a fast-growing fulfillment and transportation company seeking to add to its team of Independent Contract Drivers.

Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, Independent Contract Drivers will be able to run routed and on-demand deliveries to our regional healthcare customers.

As an Independent Contract Driver, you get to be your own boss, work independently, and control the amount of your bi-weekly commission by adding more routes and on-demand work to your daily deliveries.

Requirements

Be 21 years of age or older

Possess a valid Virginia driver’s license

Provide a copy of your Department of Motor Vehicles driving record

Pass a drug screen and background check

Own and operate your own, dependable vehicle and possess insurance for your vehicle. We are looking for BOX TRUCK DRIVERS!

Be able to load, unload, and transport large and small packages from your vehicle

Vaccinations & Medical Tests

o Provide proof of COVD-19 vaccination

o Pass a tuberculosis test (due to the medical / hospital nature of the work)

o Receive an annual Influenza (“Flu”) vaccination

o Be vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (“MMR”)

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED

Strong communication skills (i.e., written and oral communications)

Dedication to customer service

Be able to lift, pull, and carry as much as 50 pounds

Fluency in English

Be able to utilize your own vehicle – company vehicles are not provided
