Provide technical and programmatic assistance to Government team members regarding both spacecraft and payload activities that span the Satellite development life cycle. Provide analysis support services during the modeling and simulation process to refine GEOINT satellite constellation architectures and spacecraft design concepts. Qualified candidates must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph. Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Systems Engineering Support
- Participate in external, program office, and developer-sponsored forums (e.g., working groups, IPTs, and boards) to ensure GCA program office equities are protected
- Perform System level analyses for Government review and consideration
- Support acquisition planning activities and document preparation for Government review and approval
- Assist with the execution of design trade studies
- Assist in requirements development for Government review & approval
- Assist with assessment and management of:
- Various space vehicle design studies and Major System Acquisitions (MSAs)
- Test documentation
- Readiness activities & Milestone events
- Verification of requirements and criteria
- Modeling & Simulation Support
- Coordinate development of Modeling & Simulation activities
- Review and analyze results in the areas of Mission design, and Spacecraft & Payload operations to support architecture decisions and requirement development
- TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
- System Engineering experience on complex space systems
- Experience assessing modeling, simulation and analysis studies of satellite systems
- Required Tools:
- Microsoft Excel expertise and PowerPoint competence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- MS in Engineering, Physics, or similar technical discipline
- 12 years of System Engineering experience on complex space systems
- Experience assessing modeling, simulation and analysis studies of Electro-Optical satellite systems
- Experience with the following M&S Tools:
- Orbit Analysis Tools (e.g., SOAP or System Tool Kit)
- Collection Simulation Tools (e.g., EEM or Forecast Simulator)
- Architecture and Requirements Tools (e.g., Rhapsody, DOORS)
- Scenario Simulation Tools (e.g., Python, Command Modern Operations)
- Microsoft Access Database experience
- Proficiency representing complex data in high level Microsoft PowerPoint presentations tailored to specific audiences
- Certified System Engineering Professional (CSEP) and/or Program Management Professional (PMP), are pluses
