Description SAIC has a funded need for a

Lead Senior Software Test Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to support a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer for a complex space and ground effort within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA. The customer is developing a next generation of space and ground systems architectures. Job Duties may include:
  • Manage a team of junior test engineers in the oversight of the planning and execution of requirements verification testing to ensure our ground processing system is meeting the required capabilities and identify any deficiencies in the system.
  • Lead test execution support, advice, and leadership of staff in close coordination with the Government test director and other program leadership
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to enable the successful integration of the system elements and integrated system testing
  • Draft and coordinate test requirements for new contracts and/or contract modifications and support evaluation of proposed solutions
  • Evaluate and monitor the use of plans for system testing, test procedures, and anticipated outcomes for test events, including security requirements and constraints
  • Create, edit, and lead execution of test documentation throughout all phases of the requirements verification testing program, including data analyses
  • Observe the contractor-led software tests, coordinate data inputs/outputs, and capture of mission data and required metadata
  • Uncover and report discrepancies, assess impacts, and make recommendations on workarounds and fixes to ensure the system meets requirements
  • Work with staff to compile test evidence into overall test summaries to sell off all requirements
  • Communicate strategies, plans, summaries, successes, concerns, issues, and lessons learned with leadership
Qualifications Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelors and 9 years of experience OR Masters and 7 year or more experience
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Polygraph
  • Experience managing teams
  • Experience supporting testing and requirements sell-off processes
  • General knowledge of testing principles, software testing and analysis
  • Experience communicating testing strategies, plans, status, and results through presentations and in writing
  • Coordinating with other technical personnel and program users to ensure test results are commonly understood and effectively communicated totechnical and non-technical personnel
