- Advising the team lead and/or branch chief of personnel security matters, providing technical assistance on interpreting CISA's policy, and ensuring adherence on procedural requirements for processing security clearances.
- Providing quality assurance to ensure the that the team members are following the proper SEAD and FIS guidelines, ensuring all documents are loaded into ISMS, the e-QIP is submitted to OPM, and the investigations are submitted to the contract vendor as needed.
- Maintaining liaison with Federal, State, local law enforcement agencies such of Personnel management (OPM) Investigate Division, and security officers of Federal and private industry in order to exchange and verify information concerning contractor clearances and investigations.
- Formulating and recommending personnel security investigative requirements.
- Preparing, reviewing, and signing correspondence necessary for the Personnel Security program, to include Congressional notifications, and Psychiatric Evaluation requests and may accompany the assigned personnel security branch chief, in meetings and other interactions with officials of DHS, other Government agencies, the White House, Congress, State, and local agencies, and the private sector.

- You must be able to obtain and hold a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

- You must submit to a drug test and receive a negative test result prior to appointment to this position. After appointment, you may be subject to periodic random drug testing.
