Army Planner to join our team to support Offensive Fires Branch within DAMO Fires.Your day-to-day work will include:- Reviewing Army strategic guidance and policy and conduct operational analysis pertaining to employment of Offensive Fires capabilities.
- Monitoring on-going munitions issues in support of the Army Staff.
- Assisting the Offensive Division Chief in coordinating the Army’s position on Fires systems and munitions across the Field Artillery community, with special emphasis on hypersonic studies, Long Range Precision Fires (LRPF) Cross Functional Team (CFT), Support Operational Fires Work Group (DARPA and SMDC).
- Conducting coordination and provide information/decision briefings to division and directorate leaders and higher offices as applicable.
- Coordinating on Army artillery/fires doctrine, concepts, strategies, and plans review, policy, operational concepts and OSD guidance for current and future Army requirements.
- Assisting in Artillery readiness processes and support for Artillery units in life cycle management
- Monitoring / evaluating impacts of current and future force structure on plans and policies and be able to articulate Combatant Commands document needs to Senior Army leaders.
- Providing daily support regarding ballistic artillery systems; support the Offensive Fires Chief in the SPAR, TAA, and POM processes.
- Providing support to Army staff relationships with the OSD offices, the Joint Staff, Army Materiel Command, Army Futures Command, ASCC and other Army Major Commands and Direct Reporting Units.
- Becoming trained and versed in the Army staff coordination processes and the Task Management Tool (TMT).
- An active SECRET security clearance.
- 5-7 years of military experience, Army preferred, Artillery preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
- 7+ years Army/military experience.
- Experience with Army Artillery roles and functions.
- Experience at Division or higher staff.
