Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS) is an independent Enterprise function in Wells Fargo. As such we are a business unit within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer of the Corporation.

Integrated operations organization works collaboratively and consistently across the company. The Chief Operating Office includes core operations functions for each of the lines of business under leaders who have joint reporting relationships.

Including Front Line Control for each of the lines of business and enterprise functions, Strategy and Operations Planning, Sales Practices Oversight and Management, Enterprise Shared Services, Strategic Execution & Operations, Corporate Properties Group, Business Continuity and Resiliency, Enterprise Customer Excellence, Supply Chain Management, Real Estate Valuation Services, and Chief Administrative Office.

As the largest mortgage originator and servicer in the country, understanding the value of real estate, both commercial and residential, is critical.

Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS) serves as an independent risk management function within the Chief Operating Office that :

Interprets appraisal regulation and sets Corporate Valuation Policy

Communicates with regulators on pending and proposed regulations

Assumes responsibility for ensuring that compliant valuation processes and practices are in place for all valuations across Wells Fargo

Leads the industry in real estate valuation processes and execution

REVS has an immediate opening for a Senior Commercial Real Estate Advisor position. This role will report to the Head of Real Estate Valuation Services.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to, the following :

Engage with REVS appraisal and operations groups to ensure timely and reliable execution of commercial valuations.

Responsible for monitoring commercial valuation execution and escalating valuation transactions when appropriate. Provide insight to leadership team regarding any risks associated with valuation execution.

Have a thorough understanding of most complex transactions and properties and all risks associated with the transactions.

Lead initiatives associated with industry and market trends. Work with analytics team to incorporate appraiser insights into market analyses in order to gain an understanding of commercial real estate markets and how they are expected to behave.

Provide expertise on critical commercial real estate transactions, valuation, reviews and construction and environmental services.

Ensure that the treatment of commercial properties and transactions is commensurate with risk of the property and transaction.

Work with business partners to ensure proper treatment of properties and transactions.

Maintain independence in valuation processes, review processes, escalation processes and quality assurance processes.

Work with senior leaders to care for gaps in current processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following : business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services

5+ years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of real estate valuations and titles

Certified General Appraiser

Strategic planning and development experience

Ability to create and improve process through strategic thinking

Strong relationship management skills

Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions

Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications

Experience in issues management, root cause analysis, escalation management, and combining various data sources to determine appropriate recommendations

Experience developing reporting and analysis to identify issues and monitor large amounts of transactions

Ability to engage with and effectively communicate with senior leaders, peers and team members

Demonstrated experience in building strong teams
