Principal Database Engineer

Piper Companies currently has a Principal Database Administration opportunity available with a leading Fintech organization. The Lead Database Administrator position will require candidates to work a hybrid in-office schedule in Purchase, NY - St. Louis, MO - Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will be well versed in a variety of RDBMS and NoSQL-related technologies.

• Integrate data environments from a wide variety of financial systems
• Responsibility breakdown: 70% Architecture and Design - 30% Database Engineering
• Work across a variety of data environments and database technologies

• At least 7 years of progressive Database Engineering or Administration Experience
• Expertise in at least 3 of the following 6 Data Technologies: Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra/Elastic Search, PostgreSQL/EDB, Redis
• Extensive previous architecture or data design responsibilities
• Cloud Experience Preferred (AWS, Azure, PCF)

• Base Salary

  • St. Louis, MO - Up to $180,000

  • Purchase, NY - Up to $220,000

  • Arlington, VA - Up to $210,000

• Bonus: 25%
