The candidate must have good understanding of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, SDLC, and possesses good technical, consulting, and presentation skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesInteract with stakeholders and participate in identification, analysis and documentation of data requirements based on:Functional requirementsDescription of business functionsProcess flows, inputs and outputsData elementsPerform data analysis and identify elements that support the business requirements, such as data sources, primary keys, attributes, metrics, facts, dimensions, etc.Support Data Modeler with the design of data modelsDevelop source to target data mappings. Document data transformations.Identify and document business requirementsTest ETL jobs:Ensure ETL jobs load data based on requirementsDetect issues such as: data truncations, missing data, data corruption, row count discrepancies between source and targetTest reports and dashboards, including:Data accuracyFunctional testingInteract with Project Managers, Business Analysts, ETL/BI developers and Data Modelers during the SDLCCreate test scenarios and test cases, based on requirements gathering sessions, meetings and documentationDocument test plans, test cases and test results

Required Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree [preferably] in computer science, information systems or related field and 5+ years' [or commensurate] experience5+ years of Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing experienceStrong SQL skillsStrong ability to perform data analysis and data profilingAbility to gather and document requirementsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsAbility to work with ETL developers, data modelers and Business Intelligence developers to solve issues/defects and develop business solutions.Ability to communicate test findings (bugs, test results, etc.) to developers, business analysts and project managersStrong understanding and working experience in Agile developmentExperience with reporting/data visualization toolsExperience using collaboration tools such as MSFT Teams, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint etc.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.Flexibility in commuting to Alexandria, VA (remote work during pandemic) GovCIO is a team of professionals who want to make a difference, and that can only happen with a diverse, happy, and cared-for staff.
