Job Description

As a System Architect you determine the architectural design and strategy of RRMC's solutions as it relates to system maintenance, upgrades, and performance. You determine systems architectural design; lead build activities and technical support responsibilities; manage projects and support queues for solutions and services; and consult with other teams for incident resolution and proactive solutions. You also analyze, troubleshoot and improve system performance; manage the relationship with support teams and act as point of contact for support escalations; and diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot technical problems to resolve issues.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years' system administration or network engineering work experience, and providing technical assistance and support
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related degree, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience setting up and configuring complex switching environments and wireless networking which supports open or secured access.
  • Maintaining multi-site network operations and Microsoft operating systems
  • Experience implementing appropriate firewall rules to ensure appropriate security access is enabled.
  • Experience overseeing the administration of systems and servers related to the network to ensure availability of services to authorized users
  • Experience performing routine upgrades and firmware updates to Servers in accordance with established change control process.
  • Experience performing routine monitoring of event logs to proactively find and resolve issues.
  • VMWare, Citrix, Netscaler work experience

Expectations:
  • Willing to travel up to 10% as needed
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Rutland, VT area
