POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sugarbush Ski & Ride School is seeking Sales and Reservations Agents for the 21/22 Winter Season!Sales and Reservations Agents are the front line for the ski school. Agents work closely with guests (often as the first point of contact) via the phones, walk-up sales, and emailed inquiries. This position combines guest services, point-of-sale, and accurate reservation data entry. Agents are also responsible for understanding, retaining, and explaining all lesson programs to interested guests as well as selling other resort products such as lift tickets and rentals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer phones and handle all aspects of a guest's reservation for Ski & Ride School programs.
  • Sell Ski & Ride School products and other resort products including lift tickets.
  • Manage receipts, and account for sales with an accurate daily cash out.
  • Provide information, solve guests scheduling conflicts, and perform other related guest service duties.
  • Use a multi-line phone and computerized reservation system and POS system.
  • Email follow-up and confirmation letters to guests the same day as booking the reservation.
  • Provide accurate resort-wide information in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Checking voice mail and returning calls multiple times daily.
  • Responding to emails daily.
  • Monitor and resolve guest’s reservations and scheduling needs and issues.
  • Become acquainted with Ski & Ride School Instructors to best fit guests with coaches.
  • Choosing the correct product with the correct discount on the correct day of the week for the correct person.
  • Always maintain a calm demeanor and give courteous responses even during the most demanding and hectic days.
  • Agents work in three locations: Children's Ski School (The Schoolhouse), Private/Adult Group Lessons (The Farmhouse) and Call Center (lower level in The Farmhouse). Location flexibility and knowledge of each location are essential to job performance.
  • This position requires diplomacy for meeting guests’ needs in situations wherein we may be sold out, or errors appear in reservations. Accuracy beforehand will be paramount to avoid these situations. Many guests may not initially know what products they want, and need to be given very accurate information so that they can make informed decisions. It is also the responsibility of the person in this position to inform every phone guest of our cancellation and full deposit policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school education required.
  • Clerical/office work/Ski School experience desirable.
  • Customer service or front desk experience desirable.
  • Computer familiarity mandatory.
  • Must be comfortable dealing with stressful situations including: guests with inability to schedule due to Ski School being sold out, guests frustrated at not being able to get through quickly on the phone during peak periods, guests with incorrect reservations, guests who want to make changes in reservations, etc.
