The UX Research mission is to provide the robust, rich, and actionable qualitative research that the business uses to inform decision making. As a researcher, you will work closely with product, engineering, and business partners. You not only conduct best-in-class multi-method research, but you develop deep, research-driven customer and seller insights. Your research is focused online and offline - after all, most experiences with this client happen when shoppers are not using their digital products. And you are at the front lines of delivering insights from around the world, making this company a truly global/local product.
As a researcher we require that you be organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven. Strategic thinking and creativity are critical attributes. Highly polished visual, written, and verbal presentation skills are a must. People love to work with you and learn from you.Responsibilities-Build and maintain a research roadmap and a regular cadence of gathering user data-Share findings with designers, engineers, product managers, and others, creating a smarter, more informed and more empathetic organization.-Bring insights about customers and sellers by using a variety of methods whether it be surveys, interviews, log analysis, usability studies, diary studies, ethnographic observation, or a new method you invent-Drive the process of defining a set of criteria to measure effectiveness, satisfaction, and engagement of and with Jane products.-Set up practices for recruiting participants, attending usability sessions, and accessing usability research recommendations.-Mentor other Product, Engineering, and business leaders around effective qualitative user data gathering methods.-Participate in outreach to the company by teaching, publishing report finding, telling stories and creating experiences Visual and interaction design experienceExperience with SQL, ETL, data analysisCoding/scripting skills-Bachelor's degree in cognitive science subject (Master's degree preferred) -3+ years working as a user experience researcher-Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative data collection, analysis and statistics.-Experience testing on a variety of devices, including mobile and desktop.-Experience managing projects involving cross-functional teams-Experience conducting focus groups, in-home interviews, and usability tests-Exceptional at empathic listening, perceiving users needs, delivering an unbiased view of users, and translating user insights into action items for product teamVacancy expired!
