Description SAIC is seeking an exceptional individual to support the Air Force's next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system acquisition. Our customer is the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Program Office located at Hill Air Force Base, north of Salt Lake City, Utah. This will be a long-term project with the weapon system anticipated to remain operational until 2075. This is a massive development effort with many opportunities. We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer with a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and challenging development and acquisition efforts in the DoD with a great company.

Roles and Responsibilities include:
  • Advising and Assisting the US Air Force customer in the acquisition of GBSD and the evaluation of GBSD communication systems designs
  • Performing engineering analysis and evaluation efforts of complex digital electronic systems in the area of digital communications and digital signal processing
  • Ensuring necessary requirements are identified and captured in Government specifications as well as contractor delivered specifications
  • Ensure designs/drawings of GBSD command and control communication system designs meet the requirements and provide flexibility for future needs
  • Provide review and input to GBSD program documentation and milestones reviews
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and seven (7) years related experience or Masters Degree and five (5) years related experience.
  • Candidate must have previous design experience working requirements, design, and production of military wired & wireless communication systems
  • Candidate must have knowledge of digital communication theory and experience in embedded processing
  • Candidate must have understanding of link budget analysis
  • An active DOD Secret Security Clearance
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Digital Engineering or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with Cameo is desired
  • Experience with requirements management in DOORS
