Our customer is the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Program Office located at Hill Air Force Base, north of Salt Lake City, Utah. This will be a long-term project with the weapon system anticipated to remain operational until 2075. This is a massive development effort with many opportunities. We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer with a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and challenging development and acquisition efforts in the DoD with a great company. Roles and Responsibilities include:- Advising and Assisting the US Air Force customer in the acquisition of GBSD and the evaluation of GBSD communication systems designs
- Performing engineering analysis and evaluation efforts of complex digital electronic systems in the area of digital communications and digital signal processing
- Ensuring necessary requirements are identified and captured in Government specifications as well as contractor delivered specifications
- Ensure designs/drawings of GBSD command and control communication system designs meet the requirements and provide flexibility for future needs
- Provide review and input to GBSD program documentation and milestones reviews
- Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and seven (7) years related experience or Masters Degree and five (5) years related experience.
- Candidate must have previous design experience working requirements, design, and production of military wired & wireless communication systems
- Candidate must have knowledge of digital communication theory and experience in embedded processing
- Candidate must have understanding of link budget analysis
- An active DOD Secret Security Clearance
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Knowledge of Digital Engineering or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with Cameo is desired
- Experience with requirements management in DOORS
