Requisition Number: 215984 The Sr Software Engineering Manager is a team member of a release train and is responsible and accountable for the quality and delivery of applications that make up complex systems serving customers. This role requires extensive knowledge of software development technologies, techniques and processes. The individual will lead a team of talented engineers who like to ship code and tackle hard engineering problems. Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities. Other key factors are strong communication skills, self-direction, and solid problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering innovative solutions. Principle Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple dev teams both onshore and offshore
  • Direct and Manage full lifecycle of application development
  • Collaborate with Architects to drive design framework alignment
  • Maintain a balance between building sustainable, high-impact projects while shipping software quickly
  • Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis, Object-oriented Analysis and Design
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Server-side component design, detailed technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance using above technologies and tools.
  • Developing and enhancing product offerings in accordance with design and consistent with business objectives
  • Proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders/partners
  • Identify solutions that are scalable, resilient, and high performing

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in related field and 10+ years of experience with at least 3 year experience in a management or lead role; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Strong, hands-on technical track record
  • Ability to communicate ideas, alternatives, and solutions with globally distributed teams.
  • Prior working knowledge of Java/JEE Design Patterns, Enterprise Integration Patterns
  • Proven ability to be self-directed and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment .
Preferred Skills:
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience managing complex production workloads, preferably in AWS/Cloud
  • Have a strong application development background, with experience in some or all of the following technologies:
    • Java, Web Services, Spring, Hibernate
    • React, Sencha ExtJS, JSON
    • Oracle, PL SQL, Data management or modelling, Design Patterns
    • Saas, IDE (Eclipse, IntelliJ) , Unix/Linux, GIT
    • Kubernetes, Tomcat
  • Background and experience in Automotive industry a plus
