Job Description:

We are looking for a full stack senior software engineer with a learning mindset who is passionate about using the latest technology, frameworks, and design patterns to solve challenging problems in the Marketing Technology and Communication Technology space. You will be responsible for hands on development of new software solutions along with enhancing and supporting our existing solutions. Software Engineers at Fidelity Investments pride themselves on their experience, leadership, and ability to establish positive relationships across teams.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related major) or comparable experience
  • Experience with hands-on development using Java, JavaScript.
  • Experience in integrating with Marketing Technology platforms.
  • Experience with AWS is a plus.
  • Understanding of system development methodology and DevOps practices
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Experience working with Git based version control system
  • Strong communication skills and desire to collaborate
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Drive to take initiative, ownership of your tasks, and deliver results
  • Ability to multitask and operate in a self-motivated mindset with little direct supervision.
  • Creation of best practices around Pragmatic Programming, Separation of Concerns and Splitting logic by the application layer.
  • Skills to building testability & resiliency in their code from the onset and developing patterns that rely on abstractions, not on implementations.
  • Working knowledge DevOps CI/CD tools like Jenkins/ Jenkins Core, uDeploy, Concourse, TerraForm.
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in-person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle issues and work through ambiguous situations by making timely decisions based on fact, knowledge, experience and judgment.
  • Passion to provide guidance on standard methodologies and mentoring support to the other developers.
  • Ability to break work down and deliver minimal features to provide sufficient customer value that early adopters will use.

The Marketing Technology focuses on delivering outstanding customer experiences through various Marketing and Communication channels such as web, mobile, email, text, push notification, or printed mail. We support multiple business units within Fidelity and send out millions of communications per month to our customers.
