The Research Assistant will participate in ongoing research activities, assisting in preparing documents, literature reviews, reports, and survey instruments. S/he will participate in writing manuscripts and conduct data analysis in preparation for papers, grants and other products. This project aims to develop and implement a cluster randomized trial of a community-based intervention program to encourage Latino day laborers to protect their health and reduce practices that expose them to COVID.Once you join us you won't want to leave . Position Summary:The person in this half time job (50% FTE) position assists in the day-to-day research activities of a communityrandomized trial to test an injury risk reduction program for Latino day laborers adapted fpr the COVID pandemic.Position Key Accountabilities:

Plans and implements research activities that may include some or all of the following: literature

reviews, assist with survey development in Spanish and English, prepares data coding andparticipates in data analysis.

Makes independent decisions as required, which may impact research team or assigned project.

Maintains accurate and timely records which may include notebooks, records, databases, etc. as

needed by the research project.

Assists with coordinating meeting activities, taking minutes and preparing slide presentations.

Works with the Project Coordinator to translate project materials and adapt documents into

culturally appropriate Spanish resources.

Assist in report and manuscript preparation and in developing presentations.

Stays abreast of new and updated literature reviews needed for manuscript development.

May collaborate with and provide guidance to field interviewers, research staff and/or other

assistants to ensure efficient, timely and high quality results.

May provide updates to P.I. regarding research progress.

Complies with all governmental and University policies, rules, regulation and codes.

Performs other duties as assigned.
