Job Description

BOLD is looking to hire a Social Media Specialist to join our team. The Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing, planning, executing, and evaluating social media and digital content, advertising, campaigns, and programs as BOLD's voice. This position requires data-driven decision-making to best position content, tell persuasive stories, and use real-time insights to realize appropriate audience engagement, reach, and growth.

Salary range: $46000 - $56000 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Connect with the appropriate department / person to answer incoming questions in a timely and thoughtful manner.
  • Write, develop and maintain written and visual content on social media sites.
  • Create voices for each platform that are appropriate, on-tone, and engaging.
  • Monitoring, posting and engaging in discussions in accordance with BOLD 's engagement approach and social media policies.
  • Study and explore emerging trends and opportunities on new media and future solutions / applications to be considered in the social and digital space.
  • Review and incorporate content management and other technologies that help publishing schedules across all formats and networks.
  • Analyze and report actively and control data to affect communication strategies.
  • Using insights to optimize content, tags, keywords, names, and other related search engine optimization and best practice algorithms.
  • Carry out digital advertising campaigns and online paid advertising to endorse engagement objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, major in Marketing or Communications preferred; Social Marketing, Social Media, Digital Marketing.
  • Experience in using content management tools is an asset.
  • Corporate writing skills with an understanding of brand guidelines.
  • Self-confident and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good understanding of data, social metrics, and reporting to support best-practice communication strategy and planning.
  • Well-organized with superior follow-through.
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing business and work environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues and handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
