- Advanced knowledge of T-SQL and development of high-performing queries

- 5+ years of experience building SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages)
- 5+ years of experience using Python, Hive and/or Pig
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience working in Hadoop/Spark environments to include HDFS, YARN, and PySpark familiarity
- Experience with Unix/Linux administration - user management, system and service configuration, task automation, security management, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or similar discipline
- Experience with healthcare data, specifically medical claims, pharmacy claims, lab claims, supplemental healthcare data
- Experience in a Medicare Advantage (MA) environment
- Master's Degree or higher education in one of the above disciplines
- Experience with R, C#, and/or Java
- PySpark and Jupyter notebook experience
- Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, and/or SSRS
- Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques, including regression (linear and logarithmic), classification methods, clustering, neural network development, etc.
- Experience using supervised and unsupervised learning methods to derive practical analytic insights
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machinery
- Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
- Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
- Define and build enterprise-wide standard big data models
- Serve as lead data modeler for all data science activities across a spectrum of business units
- Create hierarchies, aggregations, partitions, etc. in efforts to develop an efficient data landscape
- Assist in development of data pipelines from on-prem systems to both on-prem systems and cloud-based repositories
- Assist in development of cloud-based data lake for data science use
- Support operation and maintenance activities for various software applications that require clear data structures
- Leverage data science techniques to optimize data flow and resource utilization
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, both internal to IT and business users to achieve business outcomes
- Develop and implement scripts to maintain, monitor, and complete performance testing of data models
- Create and document functional and technical specifications
- Engineer solutions to reduce waste across IT systems
- Maintain Hadoop/Spark clusters for data science usage, including data transfer, load, refresh, troubleshooting, resource management, and library/framework installation and configuration
- Assist in development and implementation of periodic architectural changes as necessitated by the business case
