Tier 2 Customer Support Engineer- Telecom EXP

Location is flexible and the position may be based in

Santa Clara, CA; Plano, TX; Atlanta, GA; Seattle, WA

Long term Contract
  • We are looking for a Tier 2 Customer Support Engineer to be part of our Customer Support department supporting our worldwide trial and commercial deployments with Service Providers.
  • This position will be a hands-on technical support role providing consultation and support to customers (Telecom Service Providers), partners (Content Providers), and Tier 1 Support Technicians.
  • The successful candidate will have strong technical and diagnostic skills, the ability to dig into escalated issues and communicate exceptionally well with customers and internal subject matter experts in order to solve customer and field issues effectively.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful…
  • 3+ years' experience in consumer electronics technologies and PC platforms
  • Experience with supporting network operators and technical support centers
  • Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues
  • Enterprise IT experience is a bonus
  • Ability to listen carefully to customer requirements and issues, then translate them into solutions
  • Strong communication skills; can engage dynamically with a variety of personalities, from end-customers to support agents to product development teams
  • Experience using

    Zendesk and Jira is desired
  • Technical writing skills: Demonstrated proficiency in preparing clear and concise technical documents
  • Experience with PC gaming, home automation, IoT, streaming video devices, and Windows applications a big plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, including overseas
  • Language skills: English required; Spanish desired
