JOB SUMMARY

Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Network Engineer for a 6M C2H opportunity that is 100% Remote. The Senior Network Engineer will administer and maintain the service provider core and aggregate and access equipment. The Network Engineer will manage switching and firewalls facing customers and internal corporate teams. The Network Engineer will administer and troubleshoot server load balancing solutions facing customers and internal corporate teams. The Network Engineer will execute low and medium intensity maintenance during working hours and outside of standard daytime hours. The Network Engineer will execute on-going discovery, validation, and clean-up of projects network-wide. The Network Engineer will respond to and resolve technical escalations from internal Tier I / II Teams. The Network Engineer will provide technical assistance to Tier II Teams for customer installations, changes, and/or moves. The Network Engineer will deploy augments and changes that support the Cloud (compute / storage) product offerings and that support MPLS and dedicated transport product offerings. The Network Engineer will interact with customers to explain complex technical deployments and/or solutions. Additionally, the Network Engineer will mentor the Tier I / II Staff to expand their technical skills.

Network Engineer III - Juniper (REQUIRED) / Cisco Environments
Service Provider Environments (5+ years) - Managing Route Policy using OSPF / BGP
Manage Layer 2 - Topology / Trunking / STP Protocols / LAGs, etc.
Firewall Provisioning / Troubleshooting - IPSec Tunnels / Remote Access VPNs, etc.
JunOS (Expert-Level) - MX Series Routers / EX/QFX Switching, etc.
Cisco iOS / NX-OS (Expert-Level) - Nexus 4K/7K / FEX / 6500s / 7600s
Cisco ASA (Expert-Level) - 5515-5585 with SSPx / ASAv (5 / 10 / 30 / 50)
Linux Server Administration (Strong Competency) - RedHat / CentOS / Ubuntu, etc.
F5 Server Load Balancing (Strong Competency) - LTM / DNS, etc.
VMware Provisioning / Administration (Strong Competency) - vCenter / ESXi Hosts, etc.
DNS / AAA (Strong Competency) - Open Source Packages and/or Appliances, etc.
Shell / Interpreted Language Scripting (Strong Competency) - Task Automation / Data Analysis
