Location: Plano, TX Description: We currently an amazing opportunity to join a well known International Manufacturing Conglomerate as a Logistics Specialist. This is an onsite position based in Plano, TX.
For immediate consideration contact About the Job:- The main function of the Reverse Logistics Specialist is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of our client's logistics network. A typical logistics specialist at this level is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc.
- The focus of this position is on Reverse Logistics - Return Authorization management and logistics processing of return shipments from customers to warehouse, including reconciling claims, invoice discrepancies, inventory variance, and product disposition.
- Work closely with Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Transportation, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- Previous work experience and proficiency with Excel at an advanced level required.
- SAP experience required.
- Understands the order life cycle as it relates to Warehouse, Logistics, and Supply Chain operations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information to identify and recommend appropriate course of action.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues and work through others for sustainable resolution.
- Experience with materials management, master scheduling, or production planning helpful.
- Strong ability to review and approve documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications.
- Order management and customer service experience required.
- Experience with inventory management, production, and warehouse operations required.
- Strong ability to read, prepare, interpret, and understand logistics documentation to ensure accuracy and determine actions for customer returns processing and resolution.
- Works on problems of routine scope requiring data analysis and reporting from system and non-system sources.
- Exercises sound judgment within defined practices and policies in selection of methods and techniques to determine solutions.
- Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- Possesses working knowledge of logistics operations related to order management, logistics operations, and inventory controls.
- Able to identify issues within the delivery cycle and make recommendations for resolution to authorize standard returns and determination of claims.
- Confer with establishment personnel, vendors and customers to coordinate production and shipping activities and resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
- Excellent communication skills are critical when speaking with internal/external customers.
