We are also part of Heidelberg Cement Group, one of the world’s largest building materials companies.The Night Shift Production Supervisor at our Servtex Quarry is based in New Braunfels, TX and reports directly to the Assistant Plant Manager.The Night Shift Production Supervisor will be responsible for effective operations and maintenance of the Plant during their respective shift. This position is also responsible for efficient management of the pit operation. This will include finished production as well as execution of proactive and reactive maintenance. They will be responsible for making and following up on decisions to maximize productivity of all departments.The Night Shift Production Supervisor will be responsible for measuring and improving key metrics which includes safety, productivity, resources, and labor.What you’ll get to doImplements a “Leading with Safety” culture. Exceeds regulatory and company compliance.

Coordinates daily production and maintenance schedule. Follow-up for completion.

Ensures production is of quality material.

Supervise Quarry activities which include drilling and blasting.

Supervise approximately 15 employees in the Pit of the Quarry. This includes safety, work schedule and work performance.

Ensures accurate reporting.

Maintains a clean and safe working environment in the entire facility.

Evaluates all equipment and completes maintenance requisitions.

Hosts weekly tailgate safety meetings for crew.

Issues purchase orders for necessary supplies.

Review the work to be performed and determine the best way to accomplish the work. They will consult with Leads, Supervisors, Originator, Production Supervisors, and Plant Management.

Follow up and communicates schedule to all resources: maintenance, production, and contractors.

Maintains and reports accurate metrics on maintenance performance.

Essential Experience and SkillsOperational/Maintenance background preferred with Supervisory experience.

Drilling and blasting experience (2-3 Years).

Aggregate operations fleet optimization experience.

Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.

Can manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion.

Experience working closely with Assistant Plant Manager, Engineering Personnel, Maintenance Supervisor, Production Supervisors and Maintenance Leads.

Preferred Experience and SkillsWorking knowledge of aggregate production equipment and processes

Analytical abilities and comfort with using data and objective information for making decisions

Project team experience

Union and non-union environments

Capability and desire to become a plant manager in the future

Work EnvironmentRole operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
