Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS);Surveillance Radar Development (SRD) Department has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer / Lab Manager to manage and support the Airborne Multimode and Terrain Following RADAR labs. This is a multi-faceted role that requires a senior systems engineer who will perform requirements analysis, decomposition, allocation, architecture development, functional allocations, physical allocations, trade studies; HW/SW make-buy decisions and acquisitions - as well as build, test, verify, validate, and certify labs for product development, integration, and WLE support.You will also monitor product performance and traffic; collecting and reducing data; perform verification and validation of complex configurations; coordinate test activities for several program Integration & Test labs; maintain the lab environment and associated test equipment, and provide coordination between the various projects and programs who utilize the labs to perform IV&V of their varied products and systems.Required Skills: Minimum of 10-years related overall Systems Engineering / IV&V experience including Lab / Testing with radar modes; prior lab management or coordination or lab leadership is preferred.
Experience with loading, configuring and managing software on radars
Ability to load, operate and control radar modes during anechoic, vibration and environmental chamber testing
Must be a US Citizen with Active (or active within past 2 years) DoD Secret clearance
Desired Skills:Experience with mission radar integration onto fixed and rotary wing aircraft platforms
Experience with airborne radar modes of operation to include TA, TF, GM, MR, SP, WX
Strong technical leadership and ability to manage a team of HW, SW and test engineers
Strong organization, coordination, planning and team-building skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to safely remove/install radar antenna/gimbal/radome
Ability to perform incoming and outgoing radar acceptance testing
Ability to determine program hardware needs and act in advance for parts procurement
Ability to acquire and pass training for powered and manual forklift operations
