Sr Social Media Specialist

The person in this role has extensive experience and passion for social media, digital content creation, pop-culture, noteworthy social trends, and creative storytelling. She/he is responsible for the social strategy, implementation, channel performance and distilling social data into actionable insights for Greyhound Owned Social Channels (Organic Social on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter).

Crafts the strategic direction and implementation of social content creation and publishing on Greyhound’s social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. The social initiatives aim to improve the company’s online presence, grow audience, encourage customer engagement, positively impact Brand health, and support business KPIs (web traffic and sales).

This position is based at the Greyhound Corporate Office in Dallas and is currently a remote position at this time but is subject to change as conditions allow; candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks within the deadline set.

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
• 10+ years in marketing with a concentration in social media and content management. Mastery in and passion for social media channels and storytelling is a must
• Proven experience in leading the creation and implementation of social media campaigns designed for business-to-consumer marketing
• Experience in a performance and data-driven environment that produces measurable results
• Deep understanding of social analytics and adept in translating data into actionable insights KPIs include social metrics, sentiment, and web metrics
• Knowledge of the evolving social media landscape (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Blogs, Podcasts, and new channels)
• Knowledge of social content design, production, and content management tools
• Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management, project management, problem solving, organization skills
