Job Description:

The Marketing Data Integration Architect (MDIA) reports directly to Marketing Data Solutions Senior Manager in the Globe Life Direct to Consumer MIS organization and focuses on the provision of marketing solutions that abide by data integration architectures that address the short and long term needs of the business. Primary focus involves designing, documenting and deploying data integration solutions that follow approved architectural standards and are independent, extensible, scalable, efficient, and operationally productive for the enterprise.

The MDIA will enable architectural patterns that provide a holistic view of marketing infrastructure and the supporting applications; and match technology services to specific business architecture requirements. They will communicate the complexity of the data solution in business and technical terms. The MDIA should have strong experience with database modeling, master data management, working with interface specifications, and building processes that address interoperability with applications and tools.
  • Determine business and technical architecture for data models, applications, and processes between cloud and on premise marketing solutions
  • Define requirements, principles, and models that guide technology services decisions in alignment with strategic objectives
  • Identify, publish, and communicate strategic technology standards, frameworks, principles, and roadmaps to be used for marketing solutions
  • Realize architectural patterns to enhance repeatable development standards
  • Collaborate with enterprise solutions and data architecture teams to leverage standards, best practices, and repeatable design patterns that are secure, efficient, and extensible
  • Ensure data integration can flow between enterprise data sources, through necessary transformations/processes, and interfaces, and provide operational relevance in a timely manner for each downstream product
  • Contributes solution delivery and corporate adoption to an iterative and DevOps methodology
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the marketing data architecture and application framework for products within the marketing technology ecosystem
  • Create operational and analytical data integration solutions using centralized shared services that support Omni channel enablement of marketing implementations
  • Document business and technical architecture diagrams, data flows and processes, ERD's
  • Develop, maintain and support data applications following SDLC guidelines
  • Perform continuous process improvement for delivery of marketing solutions
  • Proactively evaluate industry and technology market trends
  • Research, analyze and recommend new technologies that fit the Omni channel marketing technology stack
  • Ensures that comprehensive information security is integrated for all applications to ensure the privacy of all HIPPA and, certain categories of, confidential financial information
  • Coordinate with outside vendors in order to properly implement marketing solutions

Required Skills

  • Experience in Software Development, Data Management, Logical and Physical Data Architecture, and Entity Relationship Design
  • Experience with complex ETL development using a variety of industry tools and techniques
  • Exhibit strong analytical and communications skills with the ability to transform style and content for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Commitment to building interpersonal relationships
  • Display ability and willingness to pro-actively solve business problems
  • Ability to absorb new technology in short time frames
  • Must have strong knowledge of key enterprise applications and data flow across platforms and technologies
  • Must have strong knowledge with API's, work flows, and rules engines
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong understanding of cloud and on premise enterprise capabilities and solutions
  • Strong understanding of networks, computing infrastructure, computing software, and application development environments
  • Commitment to service delivery, including the delivery of marketing products and projects that ensure high-level of customer satisfaction
  • A continuous focus on development and operational delivery of marketing solutions in a timely manner

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • 10+ years Data Architecture, Data Solutions Design and Implementation
