Job Description: AV/Media Tech/Co-Ordinator

First United Methodist Church, Edinburg, Texas

I. Requirements – The AV/Media Co-Ordinator will:

A. Demonstrate membership in a Christian Church, preferably a United Methodist Church.

B. Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.

C. This position is part-time employment, working no more than 15 hours per week.

E. Be able to work with all people in the church and community.

F. Be proficient with the Livestreaming, Social Media Platforms (i.e. YouTube, Facebook, Instagram etc.), Google Drive, PowerPoint etc. Certifications in IC3 (or equivalent), PowerPoint, Photoshop, etc. preferred

G. Be dedicated to serving Jesus Christ through observance of Christian principles.

II. Responsibilities – The AV/Media Co-Ordinator/Tech will:

A. Oversee all recording, live stream, and visuals/PowerPoint for worship services/events.

B. Recruit persons for media/technology needs of the church.

C. Work with (supervised by) the Music/Worship Director and Pastor

D. Help maintain information on webpage and social media platforms

E. Assist with mass communication platforms (i.e. Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, etc.)

F. Secure replacement/substitute in consultation with the Music Director and Pastor.

G. Advise Senior Pastor and Board of Trustees on the maintenance and repair of tech equipment related to recording, live streaming etc. Be able to troubleshoot and make adjustments accordingly.

H. Be responsible for updating and programming electronic sign information

I. Regularly attend Worship Committee work area meetings.

J. Regularly attend staff meetings.

K. Any other duties as assigned by the Pastor

L. Be amenable to the Pastor.
