Quality Assurance Supervisor

The Quality Assurance Supervisor will interact with the functional areas including manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, production, and field service/repair to evaluate failure trends, product quality problems and quality issues. They will also work closely with customer and suppliers on issues and resolutions of any problems from conception to final product acceptance. They will provide supervision of the sites Inspection Department personnel, including but not limited to managing workload, providing daily priorities, managing time, approving overtime, and performing regular performance reviews. They will be responsible for providing input, guidance, and coaching to the site leadership team to ensure continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality support for in-process and final inspection to establish quality standards and customer requirements
• Recruit, retain, manage and develop subordinate associates to ensure a well-qualified and highly-motivated inspection department.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of customers and internal departments
• Oversee final review of Quality Document packages prior to job shipment
• Interpret quality requirements associated with customer technical specification.
• Show continual improvement of site metrics through the use of data
• Manage implementation and compliance of Quality Management program, including record keeping and training of department-level Quality representatives.
• Manage site owned Quality Standards and Procedures
• Provide coordinator duties to support and work through customer issues & claims. Issue no charge orders, & coordinate replacements and repairs of shipped parts.
• Provide Warranty Support
• Support other projects & initiatives per management decision & direction

Requirements:

• 5+ experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing in Machine Shop Environment
• Quality Management Systems and/or ISO 9001 Training or equivalent
• Knowledge of pump designs
• Organizational and planning skills

Preferred:

• Oracle ERP system knowledge highly recommended
• Nuclear Quality experience preferred
• Internal Auditor Trained in Quality Systems Course or equivalent
