The

AI Engineer will support our client's Digitalization effort. The ideal candidate should be experienced with collaborating with Data Scientists to exploit large external and internal data sets to find opportunities for growth, optimization, generate insights, and identify trends. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams in a global setting. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets, synthesizing and communicating results and working with stakeholders to drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities Works with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. Mines and analyzes data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies. Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources/extracts and data gathering/merging techniques. Develops custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. Uses predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes. Stay up to date on the latest trends & technologies in AI/ML Coordinates with different functional teams to implement and maintain models. Develops processes and tools to test, monitor and analyze model performance.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field. o Master's Degree a plus Minimum 5 years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models o 2 years of experience accepted if combined with a master's degree Minimum 1 year of experience in the Chemical industry Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams. A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets. Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks. Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications. Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc. Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, time series analysis, etc.

Desirable Qualifications Knowledge of coding APIs and experience with several languages like C#, Java, JavaScript, etc. Experience using web services like Azure Cognitive Services/ML, Databricks, etc. Experience using Alteryx, Databricks, DataRobot to analyze and manipulate data. Experience analyzing data from 3rd party Market Intelligence providers a plus. Experience with distributed data/computing tools like Spark, etc. Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc. Knowledge of SAP, Marketo, Google Analytics, Snowflake a plus. Experience with a B2B business especially in specialty chemicals, manufacturing or oil & gas.
