Job Summary:

The IT Procurement/Vendor Manager is responsible for managing the contract life cycle, which includes changes and modifications and the enforcement of performance clauses, including incentives and remedies as well as developing and monitoring service level agreements. The Vendor Manager acts as the key contact and subject matter expert for all contract-related activities. This includes assisting with negotiating contract terms, conditions, modifications, incentives and remedies, while working with key stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are met. Additionally, this position manages the contract execution process, resolving problems, mitigating delays, assisting with audits, mediating disputes and escalating issues. Furthermore, this position will collect essential reporting requirements and develop vendor scorecards and dashboards for presenting results and maintain/enhance tools for use in vendor management, including vendor tracking tools and vendor performance scorecards and dashboards. In addition the resource will assist in billing and project management to role out new tools.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct RFI and RFP process for vendor selection of for technology products and software, outsourcing vendors and other IT services, infrastructure, cloud vendor and other enterprise solutions.
  • Conduct market research to invite for RFP and define objective selective criteria and scoring parameters.
  • Negotiate pricing and business contract terms with the vendors. Perform bidding process to evaluate reasonable pricing. Have industry knowledge on acceptable business and IT terms. Negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes for both parties.
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate how IT Vendors perform against a set of performance and value metrics.
  • Have industry best practices knowledge on Performance SLAs. Ability to Negotiate SLAs to meet business expectations, manage and track SLAs and other Key Performance Indicators for each business-critical vendor.
  • Direct communication with vendors on overall performance through formal and informal channels. Organize QBRs with the appropriate leadership audience. Guide vendors on QBR expectations and report out.
  • Serve as a liaison between the CTO and vendors to effectively work together, communicate, collaborate, and resolve issues. Lead the escalation process for conflict/performance resolution.
  • Manage financial, compliance, and operational risks. Work with Architecture and IT security to vet new vendors or products for fit within our environment.
  • Manage IT contracts, statement of works, scope changes, and performance against the IT contracts including compliance over the life cycle of the contractual arrangement.
  • Manage relationships to ensure that customer-vendor interaction results in positive outcomes.
  • Facilitate information flow to CTO leadership and management.
  • Establish procurement process and management best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives.

Education & Experience

Education: 4-year college degree required

Experience

  • 5 or more years' experience with negotiating and managing contract life cycles, with an emphasis on technology or IT service agreements
  • 5 or more years' experience in vendor performance management
  • Experience in managing complex contracts in one or more IT categories, including hardware, software, and service.
  • Experience working across multiple departments and teams.
